Covered a portfolio of education, nutrition, agriculture, women's/family, and postal issues.

-Handle all Legislative matters within the Healthcare-Diseases, Animal Welfare and Religion portfolios, work with stakeholder and advocacy groups to advance relevant legislation -Manage Representative Maloney’s internship program, including ongoing candidate selection, interviews, hiring process, as well as managing all intern responsibilities in the Washington, DC office-Assist legislative team with yearly appropriations process as well as various projects-Oversee all direct communication with constituents and handle escalated issues-Responsible for managing and updating high volume mail program using Intranet Quorum system-Author 100+ letters on high-level issues sent to thousands of constituents -Work with the Legislative and Communications teams to direct the messaging of all mail and phone-based correspondence with constituents

• Assisted with legislative research and constituent correspondence • Directed constituent inquiries via answering phone calls and drafting issue based letters• Won intern cosponsor project- got Congressman to sign on to H.R. 2326 - Climate Solutions Commission Act of 2017• Attended briefings and wrote memos for staff members, focusing on energy and environment focused issue briefings• Assisted with general administrative duties

• Identified potential donors for various campaigns through online database research and developed tailored calling campaigns for political candidates and nonprofits • Authored and distributed briefing documents tailored to prospective donors to be used in fundraising meetings• Assisted in the coordination and planning of campaign fundraising events for political candidates and non-profit organizations• Experience in both D.C. and NYC offices with various political and non-profit clients

• Responsible for data entry/organization (CRIS, Excel, Mail Chimp, Survey Monkey, Salesforce)• Lead community outreach & marketing via tabling at local farmer’s markets, town pools and community events• Assisted in the planning and organization of local events• Gained knowledge of the inner workings of a New York State non-for-profit program (PACE Program)
