I was Studio Intern at this well established Indie textile design studio. In this role, I managed the collation and postage of stock to customers and retailers. I conscientiously assisted with various studio duties which included; finishing of products for sales, creating products and shop displays. I gained a valuable insight into the workings of a small and successful design business. I created repeat designs for screen, hand drew and cut stencil repeats.

I was studio assistant at a small design company in Melbourne, helping out with artwork for print, designs for repeat and yardage, photography of products and online orders. We organised screen printing workshops for teenagers with learning disabilities, and worked with them to produce printed t-shirts and tote bags that were then sold on to provide them with a small income. During my Internship at Pattern Textiles I learnt a great deal about fast paced commercial textiles and gained experience in this from assisting the designers with their work. I enhanced my knowledge of the technicalities and processes, and helped to produce sample garments from their designs in preperation for design Trade shows and sales appointments.
