Currently working in a demanding role as Womenswear multi product Buyer, purchasing clothing, ladies accessories and footwear for young fashion retailer Blue Inc, reporting into the Buying Director.* Developing products/ranges over all categories and monitoring these through the critical path* Creating trend stories through research, product selection and visual display and ensuring these are communicated through to stores.* Building and maintaining strong working relationships with a UK and international supplier base, negotiating prices and lead times, problem solving, presenting product ranges to the Buying Director, QC and technical input, leading supplier meetings.* Negotiating cost prices in the best interest of the company, so achieving financial budgets set for sales, margins, stock and open-to-buy whilst taking into account range and sales plans.* Introducing new brands into the company.* Keeping an up to date commercial understanding of current and future trends by visiting suppliers' and competitors outlets. Have a sharp fashion eye with recognised ability to spot emerging trends.* Developing ranges for online, in store and international stores. * Working to short lead times and prioritising workload.
