As an Emergency Medical Technician at Grady Health System, I provide pre-hospital emergency care to patients with various medical conditions and injuries. I collaborate with paramedics, nurses, and doctors to ensure the safety and quality of care for each patient. I also use Epic eClinicals, a leading electronic health record system, to document and communicate vital information and interventions. In addition to my EMT role, I also work as a Behavioral Health Technician at Saint Lucie Medical Center, where I have over eight years of experience in behavioral/mental health and detox. I assist patients with daily living activities, monitor their vital signs and behaviors, and advocate for their needs and rights. I also participate in group and individual therapy sessions, providing support and guidance to patients and their families. Through these roles, I have developed core competencies in direct patient care, patient advocacy, patient safety, and EHR. I am passionate about helping people in crisis and improving their health outcomes.
