I am the author of the novel BODY OF STARS (Dutton/Penguin Random House) and work as the Ohio Center for the Book Fellow at Cleveland Public Library, where I host Page Count, a literary podcast. I have served as guest faculty in the NEOMFA creative writing program, teaching fiction at the graduate level at Kent State University and Cleveland State University. Additionally, I teach for Literary Cleveland and am the 2022-2023 Fiction Mentor for the Breakthrough Writing Residency. My writing has appeared widely in consumer magazines, anthologies, literary journals, educational texts, and business-to-business publications, and I have experience writing marketing copy and editing full-length fiction and memoir projects. I hold an MFA in fiction at Bowling Green State University, where I taught composition and creative writing and served as the Fiction Editor of Mid-American Review and coordinator of the Winter Wheat writing festival. Previously, I was the Editor-in-Chief of Gordon Square Review as well as a Senior Editor of EHS Today and the government/compliance subject matter expert at Penton Media (now Endeavor).In addition to BODY OF STARS, I am the author of the award-winning short story collection LIVING ARRANGEMENTS (BkMk Press). My writing has appeared in Slate, The Sun, Kenyon Review, Poets & Writers, The Masters Review, Ninth Letter, Chicago Tribune's Printers Row, The Rumpus, The Offing, The Writer magazine, and many other publications. I have been a a Sewanee Fiction Fellow, a Yaddo Fellow, a Tin House Scholar, and a writer-in-residence at the Chautauqua Institution and Art OMI.
