I am the practice group leader for the Southern Company Commercial & Contracting practice group. Our team of six attorneys and one legal professional primarily support supply chain in the negotiation of goods and services on behalf of Southern Company and its subsidiaries. I also work with supply chain leadership and business leaders with respect to structuring, legal and contractual issues, government contracting matters, affiliate interactions, disputes, and execution of strategic initiatives.

In this role I was lead legal support for SouthStar Energy Services (d/b/a Georgia Natural Gas in Georgia), which is an indirect subsidiary of Southern Company. I supported operations on behalf of SouthStar’s retail natural gas operations across the United States, including corporate policy, records retention, marketing materials review, intellectual property support, data security matters, compliance, collections and billing, disputes, and litigation. I managed outside counsel and coordinated SouthStar’s legal budget. I oversaw one attorney direct report.
