About Laura Nortey

I have worked in the philanthropic sector for over 10 years and I am currently a senior program officer at Open Society Foundations' (OSF) Reassigned Grants Unit, working to responsibly manage and close organizational grants from a range of themes and regions that no longer fit with OSF's new strategic shift. I also manage capacity building support projects that support a cohort of grantees as they transition out of support from OSF, for example in the areas of financial health and resilience and communications and advocacy. I love reading, particularly African or African inspired literature, and am passionate about the promotion of storytelling and positive narratives in and about Africa.
