I joined Continental Engineering Services (CES) in 2018 as a consultant for Scalian. CES offers innovative services within the automotive and industrial sectors. More specifically, CES develops challenging solutions in the field of autonomous driving with an aim to make mobility safer, smarter and more efficient. I work on two advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS) projects using High-Resolution Flash Lidar data for the first project and radar data for the second project. As a member of the object detection team, I worked on image processing algorithms to segment objects in real-time. I also developied algorithms to provide information on the road infrastructure.

I had the opportunity to work in the medical team of Kitware Inc. at Carrboro (North Carolina, USA) which is a software research, consulting, and development company. The Kitware's core areas of expertise are computer vision, data and analytics, high-performance computing and visualization, medical computing, and software process. I thus contributed to two open-source software packages:- 3DSlicer mainly used for medical image application, image processing, and three-dimensional visualization- Slicer Shape AnaLysis Toolbox (SlicerSALT) based on 3DSlicer used to precisely perform statistical shape analysisMy main work was to improve/develop shape analysis applications for SlicerSALT used by biomedical scientists in order to precisely locate morphological changes in their imaging studies. Therefore, I mainly worked on three different tools: - Computation of a population of corresponding 3D models: + First method applicable only on spherical topology objects using spherical harmonic descriptions+ Second method applicable on all kind of topology objects using registration and deformation field- Computation and visualization of time-regressed shape effects.

As part of my studies at CPE Lyon, between the fourth and the fifth year, I had the opportunity to work for the Dental and Craniofacial Bionetwork for Image Analysis Lab (DCBIA Lab). The objective of the DCBIA Lab is to bring together clinical researchers, computer scientists and engineers in collaborating with the Neuro Image Research and Analysis Laboratories Lab (NIRAL Lab) in order to improve the clinical choices and the effective treatments.My work was to expand a software called Slicer with two different projects: - My first project was to add an option on a visualization tool which creates a color map displaying in the same time the direction and the magnitude of the movement between two models.- My second project was to develop a new module to define the osteoarthritis type whose the patient is suffering thanks to a classification group that the user can create.

This internship allowed me to observe the operation of a large and complex company, to enrich my professional experience and apply the concepts learned while my first year at CPE Lyon.
