As a leader in services firms, industry and her community, Laura's passion for people and their potential has always been a common thread in her work. Laura received her Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering from MIT and started her career at GE in their manufacturing leadership program. Her interest in the power of information systems lead her to join a start-up business and technology consulting firm as a project manager, and then a business and marketing strategy consultant. As with any start-up, there were gaps to fill and Laura lead the development a new employee training boot camp and supported hiring and the creation of performance management systems. Laura received her MBA from Babson College, focusing on talent and organizational development. The combination of her consulting background, not dissimilar to the experiences of a design firm, and her interest and experience in talent development was a great fit for her last position at Sasaki Associates, where design is paramount - from places to programs. Laura currently serves in a part time capacity as an elected member of the City of Somerville School Committee and is seeking a new professional opportunity.
