I am a classical archaeology student with aspirations of working in the archaeological field and teaching. Though I am currently working on my BA from Saint Mary’s University, I had the opportunity to participate in archaeological excavations at the Villa Di Tito in Rieti Italy and briefly at Fort Saint Louis in Port La Tour Nova Scotia. I have also worked on artifact analysis for both of the sites mentioned above, along with cleaning and categorization of the Fort Saint Louis artifacts. I have worked as a military interpreter at the Halifax Citadel since 2019, and was promoted to a junior supervisor in 2022. I have cultivated many valuable skills from this position including; team building & team work skills, public speaking skills (from giving tours), teaching skills (from teaching drill etc to new recruits), and time management and efficiency. This work has also fostered my passion for military history and Nova Scotian history in general. There are many aspects of history that fascinate me, but I am especially interested in Roman history, and the role of religion/mythology and the military in its expansion and destruction.
