• Performs safety briefings and issues instructions to protect individuals who are engaged in work on the railroad.• Coordinates activities with the Train Operations center.• Communicates by radio with train operators, trains, and maintenance to authorize movement through work area.• Decides best form of protection to use to protect men and equipment and ensure that all directions are protected.

• Signal engineers on train movement using telecommunications equipment and hand signals. • Conducts a quality insurance inspection of each car of the train, ensuring the operating mechanisms and systems are in good condition and working properly• Liaisons with the railroad engineers to remove as required any defective cars or systems that will impede safe travel and delivery of the manifested cargo. • Receive information regarding trains’ routes and schedules from dispatcher or electronic monitoring devices.• Direct and instruct workers engaged in yard activities, such as switching tracks or routing inbound and outbound traffic.

• Sorts all incoming and outgoing mail using automated systems or manually • Provides window service for non-financial transactions. Record and bill mail requiring special service.• Load and monitor the flow of automated sorting equipment, removing and processing items that failed screening and processed manually. • Weigh letters and parcels, compute mailing costs based on type, weight, and destination, and affix correct postage.• Answer questions regarding mail regulations and procedures, postage rates, and post office boxes

• Assigned to the Line Division performing daily /turnaround inspection, and launch and recovery of 12 F/A-18E aircraft in support of the command mission. Leading to the over 1600 mishap free flight hours during the Fleet Response Training Plan. • Assigned to Power Plants as a crew leader performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on 12 F/A-18 aircraft and related systems, 24 F414-GE-400 engines and 12 Auxiliary Power Units. • Fuel cell maintenance leader. Replaced five fuel cells, properly preserving and shipping them for depo level maintenance. • Responsible for the post deployment preservation and 30-day preservation inspections of 24 squadron auxiliary fuel tanks and six Ariel Refueling Store. • Provided aircraft and engine fuel system maintenance, preservation and documentation training to six junior squadron personnel. • Crew leader for the removal and replacement of 16 F414-GE-400 engines and seven auxiliary power units, enhancing squadron readiness. • As the command Central Technical Publications Librarian responsible for the upkeep and updating 40 Portable Maintenance Aid, with current IETMS aircraft and system manuals supporting 12 work centers. Performed inspection on work center publication libraries ensuring compliance with all instructions and directives.
