I am passionate about understanding and addressing gendered labour exploitation to contribute to advancements in human rights, gender equity, and labour law. To support this goal, I am pursuing a PhD in Law at RMIT University in the Graduate School of Business and Law and in affiliation with the Business and Human Rights Research Centre. My research explores why the concept of modern slavery has gained greater traction than informality, and how this issue relates to gender. My academic background includes a Graduate Diploma of International Law from the University of Melbourne (2023), a Master of Sustainable Development and Humanitarian Action from Deakin University (2022), and a Master of Business Administration from Griffith University (2020). Additionally, I hold various certifications and diplomas that complement my research and professional endeavours.Professionally, I have held several impactful roles across Federal and State Government. Currently, I lead the Circular Economy Household Education Fund at Sustainability Victoria, managing a $6.03 million grant program aimed at enhancing environmental sustainability across the state. Previously, as the Senior Communications Lead at Austrade, I developed strategies to address trade interruptions due to COVID-19 and supported project and change management activities across international projects. My experience as a Lead Auditor and Account Manager for the Australian Trusted Trader Program at the Department of Home Affairs has refined my skills in trade facilitation, risk assessment, and stakeholder engagement.I am dedicated to leveraging my academic and professional experiences to drive positive social change. My goal is to contribute to a more equitable and sustainable future through research, policy advocacy, and innovative project management.
