About Laura Staab
After earning a doctorate in Film Studies from King's College London in 2022, I joined the Editorial team at MUBI. Alongside working as an Assistant Editor there, I write about art cinema and experimental film for publications including Another Gaze, Notebook, and Sight & Sound. I am an alumna of the Locarno Critics' Academy (2022) and the Viennale Critics' Circle (2023). I was also an invited speaker at the Another Gaze x Open City Critics' Workshop (London) in 2022 and 2023, and at the European Workshop for Film Criticism (Vilnius) and the Moving Image Atelier (Brussels) in 2024.
