In June 2023, I succesfully defended my PhD titled "Identifying opportunities to improve supportive cancer care". Hereby, I obtained the degree of Doctor of Health Sciences at Ghent University. The doctoral dissertation may be requested by mail and is also available at bibio U Gent: http://hdl.handle.net/1854/LU-01H507M7W6HM5AWG0BBTQVQ525Today, I continue to be affiliated as a scientific research associate at the Kortrijk Cancer Centre of the General Hospital Groeninge, Kortrijk, Belgium. Currently, my research focuses on psychosocial cancer care. This dynamic job keeps me connected to the biomedical research field and clinical aspects in health care.To conclude, I like to mention some background. I graduated as Master in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Leuven in July 2018. I had the opportunity to finalise the minor Biomedical Basic and Translational Research with a master thesis at the SBE lab, unit SCEBP (Laboratory for Skeletel Cell Biology and Physiology) (2017-2018) and other lab rotations at several departments of KU Leuven (2016-2017). I also enjoyed an Erasmus experience at the University of Barcelona in 2015, where I participated the Specialty (master) Class in Basic and Translational Cancer Research.
