Advance public policy and funding for equitable climate and wildfire resilience, conservation, and nature-based solutions in California. Lead programs and build strategic partnerships to conduct research, policy development, advocacy, coalition-building, campaigns and strategic communications.

Directed research, education, and advocacy in sustainability and resilience for SPUR: a leading urbanist public policy organization based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Built and facilitated strategic coalitions to develop policy agendas for the region, addressing climate change, sustainable water resource management, clean energy, and nature-based solutions. Created public-private partnerships to advance these solutions, and advocated via government officials and agencies, public hearings, and the media to secure policy wins. Produced and led dozens of talks, panels, and tours to engage SPUR donors, members, and the public in local projects, planning processes, elections, and more. Served on advisory groups to local/regional government including the Bay Restoration Authority Advisory Committee, the Business Council on Climate Change, the Bay Area Air Quality Management District Advisory Council, and the Regional Reliability Partnership Drought Task Force. Work featured in the New York Times, Climate Central, NPR, the San Francisco Chronicle, KQED, Fast Company, Wired, and more.

Co-developed and taught a new seminar to ~25 students in the spring of 2018: “Cities and Sustainability: Current Issues, Policy, and Law.”

Designed, conducted and co-authored nationwide environmental program evaluations that recommended improvements to EPA's electronic waste policy, Superfund management, and clean water programs.

First hire for a startup nonprofit focused on strengthening communities and rural economic development in the Northern Forest of New England and New York.
