I know the joys and challenges of working to create change in our homes, institutions, and communities. With 30 years as a nonprofit leader, I've experienced the days when everything seems to be coming together and the days when all I can ask is ‘why does it have to be so hard?’. I work with mission-centered organizations to build capacity so that it doesn’t have to be so hard. Nonprofit leaders with big visions count on me to help crystalize and communicate their mission and strategy and to fundraise the sustainable resources to make it happen. I am a master planner able to help teams set big goals and map the path to achieve them. As a senior leader at Beacon Interfaith Housing Collaborative, Children’s Theatre Company, HIRED, and Kaleidoscope, I was known for my strategic thinking, planful approach, strong communications, and ability to raise funds. Over the last decade, my team increased contributed revenue by an average of 11 percent annually. My work experience is supported by an MBA in Nonprofit Management and years reading titles drawn from business and the social sciences. I serve on the Association of Fundraising Professionals Minnesota Chapter Board, the AFP-MN Education Committee, and as a mentor to other fundraising professionals.
