Working in a busy ward environment, usually with all beds full and a quick turnaround between patients meaning good time management is essential. Patients attend appointments with me for NHS Healthchecks, wound dressings or suture and staple removals during an out of hours clinic. My manager often comments on how cheerful my patients sound after their appointments. Time management is essential to make sure appointments don't over run. -Interviewing patients during appointments to build an image of their lives and how their health could be affected-Creating a warm and welcoming environment so patients feel they can be very open and honest with me- Offering patients advice on how to positively affect their health depending on my findings, and creating plans for ongoing care with them when necessary. -Meticulously following infection prevention and control policies-Logging all necessary information to be sent on to the patients registered GP.

Proudest achievement was having ownership of the design and implementation of a new assessment centre process, adapting and utilising it to fill various high requirement vacancies.
