At the Toronto Auditor General's Office, I work on and often lead investigations into fraud, waste or wrongdoing involving City of Toronto resources.

This is an exciting dual role in both communications and investigations. I help audit teams to better communicate their reports, create videos for those reports, and I also lead and support investigations into allegations of fraud, waste or wrongdoing involving City of Toronto resources or staff.

I wrote and edited breaking news stories and features for CBC's website. This involved monitoring news wires, conducting extensive research, interviews, and writing articles regularly for the website. I also worked with the CBC News Interactives team where I was able to use HTML, CSS and JavaScript to work on various interactive feature projects with that team. One of my favourite projects was for the 2017 Solar Eclipse. I helped design and implement this interactive feature.

I worked part-time during my masters program at OCAD. My role as a research assistant was:• Programming HTML, CSS and PHP for Postcard Memories, an iPad application designed to help with memory loss in patients with dementia• User testing and interviews with patients at the Toronto Rehabilitation Institute • Research, writing, presentation of academic papers based on the research findings
