I started my career at Cargill in October 2021 as a Food Scientist working in value added meat segment. I have been working with the pepperoni, kettle, extruded cooked meats, and diced teams to continue to develop new products for our customers, as well as find cost saving solutions. Previously, graduated from Oklahoma State University with my Master's in Animal Science where I focused in meat science. My thesis research evaluated the use of rosemary and green tea antioxidants in ground beef patties packaged in multiple packaging types to elongate shelf-life. While working on my Master's Degree, I interned with the American Meat Science Association as the Youth Programs Intern and Tyson Food's in Downers Grove, IL as a Research and Development Intern with the Jimmy Dean team. Previously, I graduated from Iowa State University with my Bachelor's of Science Degree. Additionally, I had the opportunity to be apart of many clubs and organizations including: Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority, Block and Bridle club, 2016 Intercollegiate Meat Judging Team member, Meat Science Club, 2017 and 2018 Meat Science Quiz Bowl Team and the American Meat Science Association Student Committee and 2017 Intercollegiate Meat Judging Team Coach.
