Laura has an extensive and unique cross-sector career in the government, Congress and NGOs for almost two decades. She is currently the Spokeswoman of the City Government of Buenos Aires, Argentina.Before Laura was the head of the Anticorruption Office (AO) in Argentina (2015-2019) and a national representative in the Argentine Congress. She was also the CEO of the chapter of Transparency International in her country.Laura promoted new corporate liability legislation, asset recovery regulations and the whistleblower act. She has been the leader of the ethics and compliance revolution in private and State-owned enterprises in Argentina. Under her leadership, the AO published the "Guidelines for Integrity Programs" and the "Supplemental Guide for SMEs". Moreover, the OA produced a draft Bill to make a complete reform of the Public Ethics Law. As Ethics Authority in the Executive Branch, she regulared gift policy and the prevention of conflicts of interest in public contracts. Under her leadership the OA has developed new training courses and tools for officials. She co-chaired the Anticorruption Working Group of G20 in 2018. She has an extensive international presence as Argentine chief of delegation in Anticorruption Policy at the OECD, the OAS and the G20. For six years, as member of Congress, she promoted the access to information law including an open government and open data section. She also drafted legislation about judicial reforms, electoral issues and gender parity. Laura is a Yale World Fellow, a NED Democracy Fellow, a Chevening Scholar, an Eisenhower Fellow and a Stanford Draper Hills Fellow. She was selected Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum in 2012 and received an award by Vital Voices Gobal Partnership in 2008 for her public leadership.Laura has been a speaker in several conferences at the OECD, IMF, CAF, World Bank, IADB, OAS, Aspen Ideas Festival, Vital Voices, Women in the World, NYC City Bar, Canadian Council for the Americas, Stanford, Yale, Columbia and Harvard Universities. She has also been interviewed in several occasions by international and national media. She is a political scientist and holds a masters degree on public administration and public policy.
