Dr. Laura Baecher-Lind currently serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts, where she works with medical students to develop their skills. As a licensed physician and surgeon, she has also served patients directly as an Attending Physician at the Tufts Medical Center’s Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. From 2007 through 2009, Dr. Laura Baecher-Lind fulfilled an academic appointment with a University of North Carolina hospital as both an Instructor and a Clinical Research Fellow. As an Assistant Professor, Dr. Baecher-Lind plays an active part in cultivating the progress of many students and future practitioners of medicine, including those who have received residencies in the Tufts University Obstetrics and Gynecology program. Dr. Laura Baecher-Lind continues to contribute her extensive experience and expertise to numerous committees related to the development of knowledge in her field of practice. Since August 2009, she has served as the Director of Grand Rounds at Tufts Medical Center, and a member of the Institutional Review Board, Electronic Medical Records Committee, and South-2 Task Force at the Center, as well. From 2005 through 2006, Dr. Laura Baecher-Lind fulfilled the role of Chair for the Work Hours Committee at McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University. Dr. Laura Baecher-Lind earned her Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2009 and her M.D. from the New York University School of Medicine in 2003.
