I am the Quality and Safety Manager of the Oncology ICCE at MUSC as well as the manager of the Cancer Registry. I support the ICCE and the health system by managing the Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program for the Oncology ICCE. The QAPI monitors key performance indicators that span the health system as well as those specific to Oncology patients and programs, assists with regulatory and accreditation efforts, and identifies areas of opportunity through continual review of best practice, harm events, and quality data.

I work in the Clinical Informatics Department under the Chief Nursing Information Officer at the Medical University of South Carolina. My role utilizes my clinical experience and expertise to provide insight into improving efficiency in healthcare delivery. Additionally, I am responsible for requirements gathering and workflow design and analysis for strategic and daily operational initiatives in the organization. I work to help clinical staff incorporate technology and improve efficiency with the goal of providing safe, effective, and excellent patient care.

Worked as an RN on the Pediatric Hematology/Oncology and Sub-Specialty unit. Epic super-user.

RN on the Blood and Marrow Transplant Unit. Began as a Clinical Nurse II and became the first nurse on my unit to achieve the level of Clinical Nurse III.

I was a travel nurse for 2 1/2 years all around the country working mostly in Blood and Marrow Transplant. I had assignments at Stanford Hospital and Clinics, Exempla St. Joseph in Denver, the National Institutes of Health, Johns Hopkins Hospital, and NYU Hospital.

I worked on the adult Medical Hematology and Oncology unit caring for non-surgical cancer patients as well as Bone Marrow Transplant patients.
