Capitalizing on over a decade of experience as a lawyer specialising in real estate, compliance, and corporate law, I co-founded Parallel: the first and only company in the Cayman Islands to enable real estate transactions with cryptocurrency.Parallel is Cayman’s premier cryptocurrency escrow provider. Regulated by the Cayman IslandsMonetary Authority, Parallel provides a secure and compliant means for sellers to unlock a new market of buyers; and for buyers to unlock a new means of investing their cryptocurrency. Buying and selling real estate with cryptocurrency should be easy, so we set up Parallel to make it that way.Prior to launching Parallel, I was head of secured lending and development in my previous role, acting for developer and HNW clients in large development projects in Grand Cayman. Prior to landing in the Cayman Islands, I was Head of Legal for one of the UK’s largest house builders, a FTSE 250 company with $1billion turnover. As CEO of Parallel, my objective is to bridge the non-tangible and tangible; to push the boundaries of the traditional conveyancing transaction and to progress the acceptance and understanding of cryptocurrency.
