Manage all aspects of the 65+ attorney law firm’s library, intranet, and conflicts services, including: -Library: Streamline administrative tasks, including implementing a new ILS. Greatly reduce department budget without sacrificing quality resources. Ensure attorney, practice group, executive staff, and the business development department’s success by providing high quality legal, business, competitive, and technical research services for all firm branches. -Intranet: Deliver a variety of information resources to all firm users’ desktops through effective design and information architecture (IA). Perform user evaluations and work with other departments to prioritize improvements and new features. Work with technical staff and executive staff to create data tools that help the firm reach their goals. Supervise data analyst.-Other firm responsibilities: Lead technical projects and process evaluations. Improve processes and create best practices for the conflicts department. Supervise conflicts coordinator. Work with, and communicate effectively with, all levels of firm personnel: Orient new hires, train users, communicate policy, collaborate on projects across departments.

Former Research Librarian duties, and additionally: Collaborated with the Marketing department on business development and current awareness initiatives. Oversaw approximately 85% reduction in print collection and transitioned users onto electronic alternatives in 2014. Evaluated and managed beta testing of new electronic resources. Managed new electronic resource roll-out. Encouraged attorneys and staff to use preferred research platforms. Orient and train new hires.

As Taxonomy Consultant, evaluated photo and audio archive controlled vocabulary and hierarchies. Guided the project leader in the implementation of both. Provided cataloging, information architecture, and user experience advice as needed. As hiring consultant, created job description and position requirements for the Project Archivist position. Evaluated applicants' resumes and conducted initial interviews. Recommended top candidates to project leader.

Maintain Commission library collection, including the evaluation and cataloging of A/V and print materials. Provide research assistance to commission staff, Texas fire professionals, and the general public. Evaluate and write library processes and library cataloging systems. Create and continually re-evaluate the library’s strategic plan. Prioritize library needs while considering a limited library budget. Assist in creating a virtual identity for the commission via social networking tools. Train library users in resource use and information retrieval. Write grant proposals to fund future collection development. Administer the commission’s records management policies and procedures by having the records retention schedule recertified, and by teaching agency staff how to organize, retain, and dispose of records properly.

Independently maintained branch library collection, and information services/dissemination efficiently and effectively. Provided research services for a 300+ attorney law firm as part of a statewide library team. Assisted in planning of electronic resource training and CLE training. Coordinated and anticipated research needs and services with various firm departments. Collaborated with firm attorneys and various levels of administrative staff to ensure quality and efficient services. Made budget recommendations for Austin library to the Director of Library and Information Services in order to meet firm goals. Assisted in creation and maintenance of firm Portal content, bibliographies, and finding aids. Maintained library processes and use statistics.

Provided reference assistance to UT’s Undergraduate population as well as to the public. Answered patron queries, conducted reference interviews to ascertain user needs, and assisted with equipment such as UTCAT terminals, electronic resources, print resources, and microfilm/fiche reader-printers. Assisted with library-use handout creation, library instruction class preparation, and reference collection evaluation.
