Connections Health Solutions is the nation’s leading innovator of behavioral health crisis care, providing urgent care, observation, and crisis stabilization services to help stabilize and treat people with mental health and substance use diagnoses. Oversight of strategic investment in patient transportation and home health care space. Grew the business to nine markets in five states through a combination of organic growth and acquisitions in just over one year.

Built operations function from scratch for start-up Medicare Advantage insurance plan in less than one year. Responsible for build, software selection/implementation, and oversight of the following functions: Enrollment, Member and Provider Customer Service, Correspondence, Process Improvement, Quality Audit, Claims, Benefit Configuration, Credentialing, Provider Data Management, and Part D Pharmacy Operations/PBM management. Hired/trained leadership and staff, developed processes and procedures, and successfully went live in less than a year.Scope expanded in 2016 to include oversight of care management services for >40,000 chronically ill patients. Developed department structure, including career paths, and created policies, processes, productivity and outcomes-based metrics to drive ongoing efficiencies.

Following the successful procurement, tapped to lead the organization's Florida Medicaid product, Staywell Health Plan, growing it to scale statewide. Staywell was Florida's largest Medicaid HMO with over 700,000 members.

Responsible for program management, strategic planning, competitive analysis, proposal submission, and negotiation preparation for $1B Florida Medicaid (MMA) re-procurement/expansion project. WellCare was awarded the largest membership of any MCO in this procurement - over 700,000 Medicaid members. Additionally, led program management efforts for WellCare's first commercial expansion, entrance into the health insurance exchange marketplace.
