Science writer for Inform, the magazine of the American Oil Chemists' Society (AOCS). I write feature articles for Inform, as well as the news sections for Food, Health, and Nutrition; Biotechnology; and Home and Personal Care.

I write scientific articles on a freelance basis for a variety of publications. As a Ph.D. biochemist, I have first-hand knowledge of laboratory procedures and terminology, which allows me to efficiently communicate with scientists about their work and quickly discern the most important issues.I also edit scientific manuscripts and grants for researchers, many of whom are non-native English speakers. I help increase their chances of publication or funding by improving grammar, style, clarity, and flow.

I conducted research on the RNA component of telomerase in the laboratory of 2009 Nobel Laureate Elizabeth Blackburn.
