Employed in the department "Organics and Perovskite Photovoltaics" and wrote my Master thesis on the subject of "Investigation and the long-term stability of organic solar cells for indoor applications" from July 1st, 2020 to December 1st, 2020 . Involved in the "Organaut" project, I examined the long-term stability of organic solar cells for indoor applications under illumination with artificial light. Different lighting intensities were used to enable accelerated testing. My tasks essentially included:• Production of organic solar cells by means of spin coating (organic semiconductors) and vacuum evaporation (metals and metal oxides)• Test of different contact layers and organic semiconductors in the photoactive layer.• Encapsulation of the solar cells with various adhesives and barrier film or glass• Characterization of the solar cells (JV characteristic) and evaluation of the data in Origin• Aging of the solar cells under LED lighting with different illuminance levels• Measurement of the characteristic curves at regular intervals in order to record the course of the degradation over time• Regular summary of the results in presentations in the context of group meetings.
