Working with Professor Lawrence M. Wein, Jeffrey S. Skoll Professor of Management Science, Stanford University, to explore his mathematical-based approach to improving the efficiency of the forensic investigative genetic genealogy research process in solving violent crimes and identifying human remains.

Operations lead for the launch and ongoing growth of a fund and program to accelerate the commercial transition of innovative Stanford technologies out of the lab and into the world where they can have an impact.

The DNA Doe Project is a pioneer in investigative genetic genealogy (IGG). Our all-volunteer research teams are made up of some of the best IGG practitioners in the field, partnering with law enforcement agencies from across the country on their toughest cold cases. Together we work tirelessly to resolve cases of unidentified human remains, to reunite John and Jane Does with their names, their communities, and their families.

Omdena is a global platform where artificial intelligence experts and data scientists from around the world collaborate to build AI-based solutions to humanity’s toughest problems. In partnership with organizations including United Nations agencies, NGOs, and start-ups, Omdena hosts intensive 10-week AI projects that deliver real-world solutions in climate tech and social impact.

Remote Work

• Created highly-effective project management infrastructure and team: Captured an informal process and institutionalized it as a comprehensive 10-phase project management process and toolset for project onboarding through successful delivery. Supervised the weekly evaluation of 400+ AI practitioners from around the world participating in a dozen concurrent projects. Built and directed the project management team, growing it from 2 project managers to a 20+ member staff spread across 6 time zones. • Drove operating efficiencies for scale: Directed the project management organization to achieve 300% growth in the number of 10-week-long projects, scaling from one project launch every 8 weeks to one project launch per week. Orchestrated the transition from sequential execution of projects to the concurrent execution of 10+ projects, each with separate business partners, project managers, and 40+ person worldwide teams. • Crafted and implemented partner management process: Primary liaison to over 40 business partners from six continents, including United Nations agencies, the World Resources Institute, Save the Children, numerous NGOs, start-ups, and AI tools organizations. Executed processes to ensure partner satisfaction, repeat engagement and ongoing revenue. • Voice of the brand: Host of Omdena’s monthly AI webinar series. Speaker at AI and humanitarian events. Authored numerous technical and journalistic articles about Omdena’s work.
