Within this role, at what is a relatively new service within the charity, it has been exciting to be able to assist in building the brand from scratch. I work to maintain and manage the reputation and voice of the service, doing things like producing press releases and organising events etc., in order to shape public perception of the service. I manage the charity's social media accounts and promote the service's values via copywriting and creating hand-illustrated visuals that align with the branding guidelines that I created when the service began.Edward Bernays, the founding father of PR said that "the three main elements of public relations are practically as old as society: informing people, persuading people, or integrating people with people." I feel that these are the key pillars that utilise throughout my work, especially with The EDC. I inform people about the issues that the community are facing, persuade people to provide help where they can or to reach out to the service if they need it and try to integrate the service into the community. Though the project is still in its infancy, I am excited to see its expansion as time goes on.

This temporary, freelance role included the production and idea generation of multiple videos for a YouTube channel with 1M subscribers. During the job, I worked on videos throughout multiple stages, from pitching initial ideas to producing and planning the logistics.

As well as creating social media content, this role included writing press releases and blog posts to build customer engagement around the brand. I also provided customers with a personal experience while shopping for independent products as well as a gift wrapping service, whilst remaining COVID safe.

This internship included creating content for social media by organising and shooting images for the brand's Instagram. I also created Tech packs to be sent to the factories and attended meetings with agencies.

Role specialised in styling outfits for customers both outside of and during personal styling sessions as well as general shop work including KPI tracking.
