About Laura Croston

Problem: You have one or more complex or technical processes, concepts, or tasks that need to be broken down and explained to other people so that they can understand them and "do" something with them. Solution: Let me help you. I have spent my entire career being a translator between between seemingly incomprehensible things and the people who need to understand them. In the Bay Area in the 90s, I worked as a "technical liaison" between engineers, programmers, and scientists of various kinds helping bridge the gap between the technical and the non-technical so everyone understood what was needed. That's right -I was and am a professional "Geeksplainer." After moving back to Kansas City, I formally turned that into a combination of technical writing, project management, business analysis, and training and instructional design, and I've been working as project specialist ever since. I put complex concepts into layman's terms that anyone can understand and use, right now, in their jobs, and advocate for complex business processes.
