Grassroots is the 24/7 single point access for behavioral health, crisis and homeless services for individuals and families.

As Director of Marketing & Communications, I am responsible for raising brand awareness and promoting the organization's positive mission and values among the members of the community (potential clients, partners, resource providers, advocates, etc.) Specifically, I develop and implement strategies to promote a positive reputation through education, branding, marketing, communications, PR, social media and digital marketing, as well as collaboration with community partners to source free resources for underserved clients. I create content and distribution strategies for company publications and marketing materials. In addition, I reinforce company culture, and how these drive client care, operations, inclusion and equity, and communication.

As Director of Community Relations, I created and developed a highly functional and productive Outreach department in Baltimore, Western Maryland and Suburban Maryland, more than doubling leads from partner sources, our digital marketing properties, social media, resource agencies, directories and more. I helped establish our brand via direct outreach, an events strategy, partner maintenance, innovative partner/resource expansion, web marketing, succuess stories and testimonial, custom branding materials and more. As both Director of Community Relations and Community Relations Manager, I successfully developed and leveraged representatives from various communities, organizations and neighborhoods to create and sustain positive relationships among various partnering referral agencies (qualified lead driving) and the organization. I developed strategiesto raise awareness of the organization’s mission and services through branding, marketing,networking, and outreach, in order to grow the client referral base and foster collaboration ofresources. I developed and promoted a positive reputation, ensuring that our agency respects the diverse populations and cultures of the organization we serve.

I proactively managed and created internal and external communications to engage target audiences, build brand recognition and tell the unique stories of Walden University and its vibrant community. Working within a purpose-driven organization, I collaborated with leadership, faculty, students and alumni to share these engaging stories via a variety of media to create awareness and support business goals. I created cross-departmental partnerships to generate proactive thought leadership opportunities through web content creation, opportunities to engage with influencers, events, leverage research, social media content and more.

As regional head of communications, I managed all internal and external communications for the Euler Hermes Americas business unit (U.S., Canada and Brazil), one of the fastest-growing regions within the company. This included using my nearly 20 years of communications and marketing experience to create awareness of Euler Hermes among the most reputable media in the world by showcasing the benefits of Euler Hermes and trade credit insurance, as well as the valuable insights the company can provide. Additionally, I directed and developed internal communications, including purpose-driven employee engagement activities, events, corporate social responsibility and management communications via both traditional and innovative technological platforms. I served on work groups to enhance the company's digital business offerings, diversity and inclusion network, customer centricity, employee engagement, workflow/process improvement and employee referral processes.
