A platform set up by a colleague and I to encourage others who are interested/ work in conservation to speak about any issues in a safe, non-judgmental space. Presenter for three years then additionally took on the role of Live Interpretation Developer where I would create engagement content for presenters (including myself) and volunteers to deliver whilst working and building relationships with like-minded people. I also helped as a volunteer keeper.• Delivering memorised live talks, tours & activities for a wide range of zoo visitors, including public or private events. Audiences could range from 1 to 1000 people at one time.• Presenting to camera.• Leading Interviews.• Role play - acting out scenes to create a more interactive real life visiter experience.• Interacting with visitors, providing a high-level of knowledge & quality customer service.• Shows: Narrator role for a 20 minute puppet show. Host for gameshow ‘Zooniversity Challenge’.• Working with and leading on briefs set by the Live Interpretation Team Leader.• Developing, updating, researching and writing talks, tours & activities for a wide range of audiences.• Coming up with talk programmes for the different seasons.• Sourcing relevant props.• Planning Presenter lead events.• Collaborating and building strong relationships across the organisation and with external parties.• Training and leading rehearsals for Presenter and Learning Volunteer teams.• Carrying out content & delivery evaluation, ensuring content was up to date with scientific research & ZSL’s voice/values were being communicated effectively.• Recording & evaluating audience talk numbers everyday, sending off monthly reports to ensure successful KPI’s.• Point of contact & leading team briefs for Presenter and Learning Volunteer teams.• Organising daily rotas.

I was a Presenter for three years delivering live talks, tours and activities to a wide range of audiences of all ages. I then additionally took on the role of Live Interpretation Developer where I would create engaging scripts for the presenter team (including myself) to deliver whilst working and building relationships with like-minded people across the organisation. I trained new staff, was point of contact when management were absent and conducted evaluations to ensure successful KPI’s. Both jobs allowed me to inspire and encourage others to share my passion for the natural world and its conservation.
