Laura Kendall is an accomplished arts leader who currently serves as the Executive Director of the Velma V. Morrison Center for the performing arts, a 2,000 seat arts venue located in Boise, Idaho on the campus of Boise State University. Kendall has worked in Arts Management for more than 20 years, utilizing her knowledge and skills in event planning, fundraising, audience development and community engagement. Kendall has worked at renowned performing arts organizations including Omaha Performing Arts, the largest performing arts organization in Nebraska and the region. In each role, she brought exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and a commitment to fostering artistic expression and building a strong employee culture. As the Executive Director of the Morrison Center, Kendall has played a pivotal role in elevating the venue’s status and impact within the community. Her guidance of a strategic vision and planning has moved the organization forward focusing on growth and increasing financial capacity. Laura received her Master of Arts in Marketing, Communication and Advertising, and a B.A. in Theatre and Film from the University of Nebraska, and a certificate in Curatorial Practice in Performance from Wesleyan University. She serves on the Boise Metro Chamber Board and is a member of the Broadway League Board of Governors, serves on the organization’s Audience Engagement committee, and Idaho’s only Tony Voter. She speaks at conferences nationally about arts presenting issues.
