-Assist students and faculty with their information needs, providing one-on-one research sessions on databases relevant to their research areas. (300+ and counting)-Teach instruction sessions for students on how to use library resources (mainly research databases), search effectively for the information they need, and think critically about the information they find. Provide other instruction as well. -Teach the library's 1 credit hour half semester class, Introduction to Academic Research, twice per semester, which teaches the above skills along with selecting and using appropriate information resources, developing and conducting searches, searching the internet and evaluating websites, plagiarism, and citing, among other things.-Staff the Information Desk.-Create Research Guides on different topics, how to use various online databases, and for a number of departments resources. Also serve as administrator of the LibGuides.-Serve as the subject specialist/library liaison to the Nursing and Allied Health departments, including Nursing (seven Undergraduate degrees, three Master's degrees, D.N.P., & seven Certificates), Physical Therapy, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Communication Disorders, Disaster Preparedness & Emergency Management, Clinical Laboratory Sciences, Medical Imaging & Radiation Sciences, and Dietetics. -Develop closer relationships between all University faculty and the library.-Assist faculty in discerning predatory journals, publishers and conferences from legitimate ones.-Other duties as necessary.
