I served as an independent consultant to School for Tomorrow with the understanding that I would contribute to the existing school (at that time in operation for three years) and would lead the development of a second branch of the school. During these 18 months, I worked part-time at SFT in the following capacities:• Developed and implemented the school's college advising program.• Developed and implemented the school's SAT/ACT test prep courses.• Served as the school's "Testing Coordinator" for the administering of the PSAT.• Served as the school's "SSD Coordinator" for the processing of requests for testing accommodation due to disabilities.• Designed and stocked a "College Resource Room" for students to visit.• Advised the Founder/CEO on decision-making related to implementation of the mission of the school and everyday protocols/policies.

I developed Holistic Achievement based off of my previous experiences tutoring students coupled with my knowledge of adolescent development, curricular design, and varied pedagogical approaches. Instead of only offering basic homework help or test prep, I aimed to offer services that supported the student's full development and used strengths to enhance academic understanding in areas of weakness. I also developed a comprehensive college advising program that looked at all facets of a young person to guide the college application process. This program was implemented at local independent schools. Madison, Wisconsin Area

I worked as a key member of a small team tasked with evaluating the implementation of an NSF-funded, $35 million, national K-20 STEM partnership initiative, known as System-wide Change for All Learners and Educators (SCALE). Our team's goal was to delve into what it means to scale a program that relies on multifaceted partnerships between schools, districts, and universities within and across state lines. We accomplished this analysis through an anthropological lens that included the use of ethnographic observation, document analysis, and in-depth iterative interviews with a wide-range of stakeholders. The project culminated in a book, A guide to building education partnerships: Navigating diverse cultural contexts to turn challenge into promise.My contributions to the project include the following:• Created interview protocols, conducted interviews with stakeholders, at all levels of SCALE project• Created codes for coded interviews, observational data, and synthesized information in reports. • Co-developed a dynamic model of partnership formation and performance.• Managed SCALE-base, a complex database of SCALE members’ relationships and organizations.• Participated in the ideation and design of the book.• Wrote and edited sections of the book.

Yorktown, Ny

As the Assistant Director of Education for a top-performing center in the Huntington Learning network, I managed daily operations, overseeing teacher/student interactions for over 30 teachers and 150 students. This role also included regularly interacting with parents while utilizing public relations and crisis management techniques. Additionally, I led curriculum implementation and re-assigned curricula to over 40 students while administering and assessing comprehensive diagnostic evaluations and SAT exams on a daily basis.

I served as a full-time secondary school teacher in rural Ireland. I taught courses in English, Health, and worked with students in a special education resource room. The students were predominantly males in the U.S equivalent of 9th grade. Additionally, I observed courses and interviewed teachers and administrators in order to complete a comparative study of US and Irish educational models.

San Jose, Ca

I served as the Literature Department Chair while using the Great Books curriculum to teach highly motivated, low-income 8th graders in Silicon Valley. I used interactive writing activities and socratic seminars to enhance the curriculum. Additionally, I served as an advisor to a group of students, taught a drama class that culminated in a performance of "Clueless," and headed the "Celebration" planning committee.

San Jose, Ca

I designed the curriculum and created and implemented lesson plans for 7th grade Writing and Literature courses aimed at highly motivated, low-income youth in in Silicon Valley. I worked to integrate social studies into the curriculum, developing a unit on the Wild West to serve as a contextual backdrop for an analysis of the novel, "Holes." I also created and taught a discussion-oriented unit on stereotypes to encourage critical thinking and empathy. I also led an advisory group and co-taught hip-hop dance class.
