Hello!My name is Laura Herrick and I am an enthusiastic and driven creative with a diverse skill set and experience in Graphic Design, Project Management, and Marketing. I am very passionate about Interior Design and Building Design, and hope to one day utilise my unique range of skills to create a new career in this industry. Upon completing my Bachelor of Graphic Design, I have gained many years of professional design experience in both the public and private sectors. I have also worked with a number of small business and personal clients on various projects including logo design, stationery, advertising, social media content, web design and interiors. For the last six years, I have worked at Empire Signs Group as a Project Manager and Designer, before being promoted to Assistant Manager, then to Business Improvement Manager. As PM, I was responsible for the management of simultaneous projects across Melbourne and regional Victoria. My day-to-day tasks included graphic design, quoting, sales and client communications, as well as overseeing production and co-ordinating installations. In my role as Assistant Manager, I continued to perform these tasks, with the addition of overseeing a small team and assist in the marketing and direction of the business. In my current role I continue a number of these tasks in addition to a new range of responsibilities including HR and implementing change to support the strategic direction of the business. With a passion for Interiors and Building Design, I continue to educate myself to develop my skills in this area. I have completed an accredited course in Interior Styling with Sydney Design School, and courses in SketchUp and LayOut to create 3D interior renders and accompanying 2D documentation plans.
