Education professional with 25+ years of experience working in diverse academic settings. I've taught students ages 4-adult but am particularly passionate about working with students ages 16-20. I think the last two years of high school and first two years of college are a time of incredible personal growth, and I love guiding students towards new opportunities during this very exciting time in their lives. I grew up in a family of teachers, which led to my life-long interest in re-imagining education. I am convinced that traditional one-size-fits-all schooling is an outdated model, and am passionate about creating a more expansive definition of what education could look like. (Everyone should have an IEP!) Currently, I have the incredible good fortune of working with students who have left traditional high school in order to design their own education. My students and their families continue to provide me with new insights into the myriad ways we could be rethinking schooling.
