Having previously held event management and development positions with the CHP 11-99 Foundation, I made a career shift in 2020 so I could focus on my strengths and passion - marketing, design, and visual storytelling. This was a new position I created based upon the growing needs of the organization, and one we were previously missing as we had been outsourcing all printed publications and related graphic needs and piecemealing our marketing efforts. Now I spend my days creating, designing, writing, and executing all marketing content and graphic design projects for the organization. This includes all video content, direct mailings, email marketing campaigns, year-end or membership appeals, our Annual Report magazine publication, website, and social platforms. I view my role as a storyteller - sharing what I call "the CHP story" as it relates to the 11-99 Foundation's mission. I want to move people to action through their support of the CHP as a Department and the 11-99 Foundation's assistance programs we offer CHP employees and their families. The sacrifices these officers make, the lives lost in that endeavor, and the children of CHP employees who give hope for a brighter future fuel these stories that capture the hearts of our lifetime members and donors.

-Develop strategy for fundraising and special events in Northern CA territory, focused on cultivating relationships with major donors, Foundation members, key volunteers, and corporate sponsors-Responsible for restructuring, expanding, and managing Northern CA satellite office and its employees and volunteers-Develop and manage annual budgets while growing revenues and managing expenses-Create & oversee all social media content, email and print communications that relate to Northern CA special events, donation and sponsorship appeals, cultivation events, Annual Report updates, donor relations and stewardship -Co-manage newly revamped website powered by WordPress, including updates, creating content, forms, and news that drives increased online donations and email subscribers-Helped lead staff through upgrade from Raiser's Edge 7 to Raiser's Edge NXT-Exceeded major gifts annual goal by 110%

-Planned and executed CHP 11-99 Foundation's Northern California fundraising, membership events, & programming -Secured event sponsors, donations, speakers, and volunteers-Event planning & management included producing charity golf tournaments & fundraising dinners, activation events at McCall Motorworks Revival and The Quail Motorsports Gathering during Monterey Car Week, and booth presence at community events-Outreach, engagement, and support with Northern California CHP area offices, CHP Academy, and CHP families-Planned, executed, and emceed 5 annual scholarship ceremonies around Northern CA for deserving children and spouses of CHP employees-Emceed our annual events, and gave speeches at memorials, & programs on behalf of Foundation-Created and produced new events from the ground-up to revitalize the Foundation's presence in various regions across Northern CA and among various demographics-Managed, created, produced content for all social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn)-Managed, created, produced graphics and content for email blasts, event marketing, & event collateral
