With over 20+ years of expertise in human factors/UX, human-centered AI, immersive technology, vehicle safety system design, and digital health, I bring a wealth of experience to my role. My mission is to improve the lives of diverse users through the design and development of usable, engaging, and personalized products and applications. This combination of academic rigor, industry experience, and innovative research positions me as a key driver in research and development process.In my academic role, I annually teach and mentor over 200 computer science and engineering students and professionals. I lead a team of 10+ researchers and engineers in the Human Computer Interaction (HCI) Lab, driving cutting-edge research and development. Additionally, I facilitate the design and development of web/mobile and virtual reality applications for Immersive Reality Group, a leading provider of XR, wearables, and AI-enabled technology for mental health.My research centers on user behavior, cognitive workload, personalized learning, and emotional responses, utilizing various human factors and UX methods and tools. I have published over 90 peer-reviewed articles and patents and have secured more than $20 million in industry and federal research grants.As a recent Consultant to the FDA's Digital Health & AI Committee, I'm at the forefront of pivotal advancements in digital health and artificial intelligence, embodying a commitment to enhancing healthcare through innovation.
