I am sole owner of the Laura D. Heard Law Firm Inc, practicing primarily Family Law Mediation, Wills & Probate, and Divorce. I've practiced law in San Antonio since 1987. I've also written a best-seller book "Divorce and Estate Planning in Texas-How to Plan Ahead for the Unexpected and Save Your Family's Future," published in 2022. Additionally, for 14 years, I was an adjunct professor teaching various law courses at Wayland Baptist University in San Antonio. I have taught several continuing legal education seminars, including "Ethical Issues in Probate Law," "Effective Use of Evidence," and "How to Handle Post-Trial Issues," (NBI 2007). I've worked as an attorney for the Fourth Court of Appeals, and helped write a law school textbook on Wills. I am honored to be a SABJ 2019 Outstanding Lawyer. Twice I was voted one of the best appellate lawyers and once voted one of the best family law attorneys in San Antonio.
