Hailing from the small Southeast Texas city of Beaumont, Laura set a goal in 2009 to move to Austin, TX to pursue a career in technology. A former teacher, she took intentional steps to attain that goal by self-educating on eCommerce software, seeking out her first tech role as an eCommerce Advisor, and successfully making the transition from Teaching to Tech in 2011.
