I am very greatful to have gotten the opportunity to found an Integrative Healthcare Centre in the middle of the beautiful nature of Waterland (near Amsterdam). Together with 17 other entrepreneurs, we work for people who search for health in the broadest sense; yoga, mindfulness, psychotherapy, doctor, child psychology, retreats, a vegetable garden and creative workshops. The focus lies not only on physical health, but on mental health as well, as these two are intertwined. With this we try to create a new and integrative healthcare system. Available for lectures.

Iyengar Yoga is a classical yoga method, named after mr. B.K.S. Iyengar (1918-2014). In a class you learn the yoga poses (asana’s) step by step, with a carefully designed sequencing, professional attention from the teacher and clear corrections. Correct alignment is important to avoid injuries and make the asana’s lighter. For people with physical complaints or diseases, Iyengar developed props (materials) for support and yoga therapy.I am in the level 2 training of Berber Schönholzer and assist her in her yoga therapy classes on a weekly basis. Herein, we support people with for example; knee-, hip-, back-, neckproblems, scoliosis, burn-out, heart problems, Parkinsons and Multiple Sclerosis.

Together with Ger Schurink, we are implementing the Method of Levels psychotherapy method within the Netherlands. Both of us use this method on a daily basis with our clients, as well as teaching it to psychologists, psychotherapists, child psychologists and other professionals who have conversations with other people in within their job.
