Singapore

Based in Singapore, I was responsible for financial planning, fiduciary governance, business controls, profit and cash management across IBM’s broad portfolio of products and services. My responsibilities spanned the diversified markets of Australia and New Zealand, India, Southeast Asia and Korea. In this role, I had the privilege to work as a member of the Asia Pacific senior executive team, a truly diverse team from a cultural, technical and skills perspective. I had the responsibility to lead a team of over 1,000 Finance professionals from entry level through executive, inclusive of our 2 centers of excellence in Kuala Lumpur and Bangladesh.

Vice President of Finance for IBM in a variety of business areas including Strategic Outsourcing IT Delivery, Systems and Technology Group Power Systems Hardware Division, Systems and Technology Hardware Development and IBM Microelectronics Division. Responsibilities in each role are broad, spanning strategic and tactical planning, forecasting, measurements, pricing, capital and cash planning/management, business controls and business advisory/advocacy.

Corporate Headquarters, Armonk, Ny

Responsible for long term strategic financial planning for the IBM Company focused on the income statement with strong linkage to Treasury and cash planning to ensure consistent delivery of EPS growth in line with long term model commitments. Role included tactical financial plan setting and tracking across IBM business units, inclusive of strategy cycle and execution planning cycle processes across the enterprise. High level of interaction with Corporate Offices. Primary contact to provide financial support for both Board of Directors meetings and Corporate Governance.

Executive Assistant to IBM CFO. Provided day-to-day coordination, support and assistance to ensure optimal productivity for our CFO. Assisted Corporate staff and Business Units in coordinating business issue and traditional cadence reviews such as quarter end reporting, capital review boards, special topics and business performance updates. Provided support and preparation work for a variety of external engagements including investors, bankers and Clients. Handled mail, calendar and staff work, prioritizing and driving follow ups to ensure a seamless and professional countenance of the office was maintained.

Financial management roles ranging across a variety of disciplines, pricing, planning, forecasting, measurements, business controls and resource deployment and coverage. Organizational focus was on Sales and Distribution and Corporate Headquarters.

Managed end to end business operations at field level. Included administrative services, facilities, HR, commissions tracking and payments, financial management as well as product and service ordering, fulfillment and collections. Overall field level support for sales operations in large territory. Prior to this held various administrative assistant roles supporting Corporate Headquarters principles and providing administrative support for management development programs and instructors.
