I am a Senior Associate within the Tech team at Carpmaels & Ransford and specialise in software inventions, particularly fintech and digital healthcare. I handle AI inventions across a wide range of applications, from telecommunications to the life sciences. My work focuses primarily on patent portfolio building, including drafting and prosecuting patents in the software space, which involves navigating the complex approach to patenting software inventions in Europe. I am also heavily involved in patent portfolio management and help clients to assess and maintain their portfolios' commercial relevance.Prior to becoming a patent attorney, I did a degree in Engineering Science from the University of Oxford, where I earned a University College exhibition for academic achievement. I subsequently moved to the University of Warwick for an industry sponsored PhD in Telecommunications. My research focused on optical wireless communication systems for underwater environments.
