MinisterCeremonies By Laura Picozzi Mar 2015 - PresentFishkill, New York, United StatesI am a non-denominational minister, and I write and perform custom ceremonies for weddings and funerals, and sign marriage certificates in the townships where my license is accepted.Weddings:I like to find out what the couple's vision for their ceremony is, and I have a questionnaire of basic questions I need to know the answers to in order to tell their story. I also ask some deeper questions to get a feel for their unique love story, their personalities, and use that to create a ceremony that could only be for them. Some people want to keep it basic, some people just want a traditional ceremony and there is nothing wrong with that either I do that, too! I love spreading love and bringing two families together in a way that is tailor fit to them. I have done ceremonies on the street under a pavilion in the rain on Main Street, I've done back yard ceremonies, bedside ceremonies, and one county jail wedding. There isn't much I'm not up for! Funerals:I like to say I put the "fun" in funeral, and maybe that's why no one has hired me to do one yet. But I am fully prepared to tell the unique story of someone's life, and offer comfort to their loved ones. Whether that requires some stern and serious spiritual healing, or if laughter is the best medicine I am up for that, too!

General ManagerSpeedway Llc Mar 2018 - Aug 2018Bedford Hills, New YorkAll operations associated with running the convenience store & gas station.Managing a staff of 10-15 employees, 24 hours a day 365 days a year. Recruiting, hiring, on-boarding, discipline, recognition, and keeping staff compliant with e-learning.Delegating daily tasks to staff; we had a task-chart that needed to be completed every day, some of them had to be done once per shift. This chart was a guide of things we needed to do daily as a team to pass our random monthly inspections, which this store was not passing when I took over. I quickly found that if I let everyone decide what they wanted to do, the bulk of the necessary work did not get done. If I assigned everyone a color, and then highlighted the tasks in their color. This held individuals accountable, the necessary work was completed, and we started passing inspection.Inventory Management & ordering.Daily Sales reports.Monthly profit & loss reporting; looking at past months for trends, using these reports to improve the store.Enforce Speedway's brand standards & sales quotas.Customer service; handing difficult customers, trouble-shooting difficult machinery, and navigating sensitive situations with the public, police, and employees.
