Often managing a team of analysts, or acting solo to enable a company in structuring a new QA department. Last engagement was with HCA (Hospital Corporation of America) as a Lead Consultant. Phi Theta Kappa, a non-profit organization, is the international honor society of students attending open-access institutions and seeking associate degrees, bachelor's degrees, or other college credentials. As the CollegeFish (now called PTK Connect) Enrollment Specialist, I promoted and advocated within two-year colleges through communication, education, marketing, and implementation strategies. Assisted with the continuing development and implementation of this online transfer program for college faculty, staff, and students. Conducted hands on workshops, public presentations, and on-campus training sessions to assist students and advisors on enrollment in the program as well as hands on use. Travelled to colleges and met with Administrators (Presidents, Vice-Presidents), Faculty, Staff, and Students to introduce and help integrate CollegeFish into the culture of student transfer from two to four-year colleges. Instrumental in beginning and mid-level stages of a successful grant application to Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (awarded subsequent to my relocation).

Reported directly to the Vice President – Product Development and worked closely with management and staff in Product Management, Software Development, Product Enrichment and Customer Relations to ensure software products met industry leading levels of quality. Led a 12 member team.

CSpire had approximately 1,000 employees during my tenure, and was one of the largest privately held wireless providers in the United States, licensed to provide wireless service to a population of more than five million people. I was responsible for the development, execution, and reporting of the overall test strategy/results for software development and maintenance projects related to all business applications for the company (POS, billing, inventory, website (internal / external). Built the department, and managed an onshore team and directed the efforts of an offshore team (8 onshore – 6 off).

Premera Blue Cross is a not-for-profit, independent regional health plan based in Washington State, and serves more than two million members. I was a member of the Acceptance Integrated Testing Team, and was promoted twice. As a User System Analyst III, I conducted unit, quality assurance, and regression testing on multiple core aspects of the Plan processing systems (namely Facets) including claims, finance, membership, provider and vendor interfaces, custom extensions, reports and backend accounting, and payment systems. Group 16 and Microsoft security level. I assisted with training Level I and II analysts, while providing guidance to team peers, and assisting fellow Level III analysts and management with overall team operations (25-member team).

A venture backed business providing software solutions to its business partners interested in making and tracking impressions through interactive advertisements. This was accomplished through an application in the form of a tool bar, which resided on the users desktop. I reported directly to the CTO and was responsible for assisting him in the successful day to day operations of his R&D group.
