An expert in scholarly communications and information and library management, I have 15+ years’ experience in a variety of roles across the sectors of higher education and open source research infrastructure. This range gives me a broad view of the interpersonal and technological dimensions of knowledge creation and refinement. I am a skilled communicator and experienced in building community at a global scale. My work at ORCID and Crossref involved working with people from many different countries, cultures, and languages all over the world, and from different parts of the research ecosystem. Since my early career as a science teacher, I’m experienced in effectively and engagingly communicating complex concepts to audiences with varying levels of prior knowledge and interest. My earlier roles in academic libraries ranged from e-resources management to academic liaison for Law. I speak English, (Belgian) French, and Spanish.
