Worked with researchers and academics to identify ideas/inventions and put in place commercial strategies for transferring these new technologies into industry. Project managed more than 60-80 new opportunities / projects per annum. Pitched to 30+ commercial companies per year on current technologies in portfolio. Responsible for intellectual property budget of £600k per annum which includes over 350 patents. Worked with a wide variety of academic innovators and stakeholders from the University, including clinical partners from 9 NHS Trusts in the local region and a variety of industrial collaborators. Managed commercial projects generating £3m of income per annum. Co-managed an enterprise investment fund for projects of £800k per annum.Built and maintained relationships with external bodies such as funders (Cancer Research UK, Wellcome Trust, NIHR), commercial licensees and other regional government bodies such as the Growth Platform.

Particular focus on working with Scandinavian markets.
