Laura Kee is an actor, emcee, voiceover artist, and early-career researcher dedicated to advocating for media workers in Singapore. She holds a BA in Economics from the National University of Singapore and an MA in Arts & Cultural Leadership (Distinction) from Lasalle College of the Arts.Since beginning her acting career in 2008, Laura has built a diverse portfolio in television, film, theatre, and commercials. Her breakout role in “Cubik”, an award-winning short film, earned international attention, and she has continued to impress with performances such as Natasha in “KIN” (2018-2022) and the titular character in the one-woman monologue in “Emily of Emerald Hill” (2016, 2020). Laura is also known for her immersive theatre work, such as in “Cathay Hotel: The Case of the Missing Red Shoe” (Singapore Night Festival 2022), and for her versatility in interactive storytelling events. Her ability to memorize dialogue effortlessly and perform intense, physically demanding scenes has earned her praise from directors and peers alike.As an accomplished emcee, Laura has hosted a broad range of events from corporate conferences to large-scale community celebrations. Fluent in English and Mandarin, with basic proficiency in Japanese, Korean, and Malay, she has been described as an engaging, eloquent and energetic emcee who brings professionalism and flair to every stage she graces. In her role as Chairperson of The Actors’ Society, Laura is deeply committed to improving working conditions for actors, championing professional standards, and supporting local talent.
