About Laura Kolbe Dotterer
Thank you for taking the time to review my professional profile. I have most recently been hired as a Program Manager within the Adult Literacy Program/ESOL CIVICS with Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens. As you look at my current and past work experience, you will see my career in education is a combination of working with people from all over the world, the United States, Italy and China, within the context of language acquisition and the arts. I have found a way to connect both of these passions in my positions as a Center Coordinator/ESOL Instructor and Family Literacy with Literacy Partners, Inc. in New York City, as an ESL Instructor/Didactic Assistant with The Language Center in Todi, Italy, as an ESL Instructor at Shanghai University of International Business and Economics, the New York Public Library and most currently with Catholic Charities and University Settlement in New York City. I have had the opportunity to not only teach English as a second language, but to also collaborate with the development and marketing departments in order to contribute to fundraising efforts, course development and teacher training. These experiences have set the foundation for me to be able to work in either supervisory or managerial positions in the context of ESOL, adult education and international education. Please take a closer look at each job description as listed here on my LinkedIn page. Thank you!
